Jim Gates is a theoretical physicist who works on supersymmetry, supergravity, and superstring theory. Jim led the creation of a new NASA-funded research center, called the Center for the Study of Terrestrial and Extraterrestrial Atmospheres (CSTEA) & was it’s first director.
